E-ITA provides International Driver's License (IDL) translation documents. An IDL is a booklet that translates your domestic driver's license into 12 languages, making it easier for you to rent vehicles and drive in foreign countries.
An IDL is not a replacement for your domestic driver's license or passport. Your domestic driver's license must accompany your IDL at all times for it to be valid. The IDL is a translation document only.
We abide by the International Driver's License Booklet specifications detailed in the United Nations Convention on International Road Traffic of 1949.
Important: Materials provided by E-ITA are not accepted in China, South Korea, or Japan.

You may access your customer portal account immediately after completing your application. Digital documents will be available for download after processing is complete.
By submitting your application, you certify that all information provided is accurate, truthful, and complete. Providing false or misleading information may result in the cancellation of your application without refund.

All prices are in United States Dollars (USD). Payment is accepted via credit card, debit card, and PayPal. All payments are processed by our PCI-compliant third-party payment processor. E-ITA does not store your credit card information.

Physical IDL documents are shipped worldwide via FedEx, USPS, and each destination country's local postal service.
Processing cutoff: Applications processed after 12:00 AM PST (GMT-8) will be shipped no later than the following business day. Shipping days exclude Sundays and holidays.

All delivery dates are estimates based on the most current information from third-party shipping carriers. Delivery dates are based on standard business days (Monday through Saturday) only and do not include holidays. EITA cannot guarantee exact delivery dates.

If any submitted materials are incomplete, incorrect, or do not meet our requirements, processing will be delayed until the issue is resolved. E-ITA will contact you via email if additional information or corrections are needed.

Refund requests must be submitted through our support portal at support.e-ita.org. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days and will be returned to the original payment method.

In no event shall EITA LLC or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on E-ITA's website, even if E-ITA or an authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage.
Digital documents are not a guaranteed replacement for original printed copies. Please confirm requirements with your car rental or hire location ahead of time.
E-ITA's total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the total amount you paid to E-ITA in the 12 months preceding the claim.
The materials and services on E-ITA's website are provided on an "as is" basis. E-ITA makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property.
E-ITA does not warrant that the materials on its website are accurate, complete, or current. E-ITA may make changes to the materials contained on its website at any time without notice.
Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you.
All content on the E-ITA website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of EITA LLC and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, display, or create derivative works from any content on our website without prior written consent from EITA LLC.
Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation. You agree to contact us at support.e-ita.org before initiating any formal proceedings.
If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, either party may pursue resolution through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in accordance with its rules. The arbitration shall take place in the United States.
You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis only. Class action lawsuits, class arbitrations, and representative actions are not permitted.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the United States for the resolution of any disputes.
E-ITA may revise these Terms of Service at any time without notice. By continuing to use this website, you agree to be bound by the then-current version of these Terms.
